It is so important for kids to know what is going on in the world, so I especially love this site because it is one of the few sites that not only outlines big headlines and news updates, but does it in a way that kids can actually understand.
This website is more for younger kids and allows them to play and watch interactive games and educational videos that are not only engaging but can really help them be more academically and cognitively successful. For all the parents out there, PBS also provides many learning and parenting tips, as well as broadcasting services for older audiences.
National Geographic is an extremely reliable and informative source that not only gives you information on many different topics that are happening in our world, but they also provide a lot of informative documentaries as well. They have a lot of information about science and biology specifically, so anything ranging from the coronavirus to how climate change affects animals will be on this versatile website.

Coursera is a very cool website that has partnered with some of the leading universities in our world, including Stanford, UPenn, UMich, and Duke, to provide free courses on varying topics. You can take so many useful courses for free on this site, as it truly has everything you need, and almost every topic you would want. It is very detailed and great at providing the adequate information needed, and if you want a little bit of a deeper study, you can even pay a small fee for assignments to be graded and to earn a certificate for completing the course.
